Job Summary
English Teacher for grades 7-12 with Integrated Language Arts licensure in Canton Local School District. Responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating student experiences; creating and aligning lesson plans to state standards; administering formative and summative assessments; maintaining accurate records; proctoring tests; collaborating with teachers and parents; utilizing technology; upholding school policies and conduct codes; promoting a positive, inclusive learning environment; and supporting IEPs and student interventions as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Ohio teacher’s license or certificate appropriate for the assignment.
- Meets all mandated health requirements.
- A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.
- Complies with drug-free workplace rules and board policies.
- Complies with Licensure code of Professional conduct for Ohio Educators.
