Job Summary
Present effective CAPS- and IEB-aligned English Home Language lessons using diverse teaching strategies for Intermediate and Senior Phases. Design meaningful assessments to guide learning while offering constructive feedback and targeted support for learner progress. Create an inclusive classroom environment with clear expectations, fostering responsibility, collaboration, and resilience among students. Maintain transparent communication with parents and staff regarding growth, attend school functions, meetings, and professional development sessions. Incorporate technology, project-based learning, Christian values, and entrepreneurial themes where applicable. Hold a Bachelor of Education in the relevant phase, possess SACE registration, and demonstrate strong planning and facilitation skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in Intermediate and/or Senior Phase, or a relevant degree plus PGCE (or equivalent)
- SACE registration
- valid police clearance
- Strong knowledge of CAPS and IEB standards for English Home Language
- Excellent planning, facilitation, and learner support skills
- Willingness to be actively involved in co-curricular activities and the broader school community
