Job Summary
Perform personal care activities assisting patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, ambulation, transfers, dressing, shaving, and preparing meals. Execute housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, dishwashing, changing bed linens, and laundry. Provide patient-specific supportive care involving medication reminders, assisting with exercises, and incontinence care while utilizing lifting equipment like gait belts and Hoyer lifts. Accompany patients on errands or medical appointments as needed. Requires a CNA license or HHA Certificate with a Palm Beach County badge, valid driver's license, CPR certification, and Level 2 background screening. Paid training and development available.
Required Qualifications
- CNA license or HHA Certificate (HHAs - Must have badge from Palm Beach County - no exceptions!)
- Valid Driver License or State Photo ID
- Second form of ID (SSN, Passport, Voter's Registration, etc.)
- Auto Insurance
- CPR Card (cannot be an online class)
- TB or Chest X-ray
- Level 2 Fingerprint Background check
- Alzheimer's, HIV, and Assisting with medications CEU
- 1 letter of recommendation
- Level 2 background screening through the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
