Job Summary
Perform personal care activities assisting patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, ambulation, transfers, dressing, and meal preparation. Execute housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping floors, dishwashing, and laundry. Provide patient-specific supportive care like medication reminders, exercise assistance, and incontinence care while using lifting equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts. Accompany patients on errands or medical appointments as needed.
Required Qualifications
- CNA license or HHA Certificate (HHAs - Must have badge from Palm Beach County - no exceptions!)
- Valid Driver License or State Photo ID
- Second form of ID (SSN, Passport, Voter's Registration, etc.)
- Auto Insurance
- CPR Card (cannot be an online class)
- TB or Chest X-ray
- Level 2 Fingerprint Background check
- Alzheimer's, HIV, and Assisting with medications CEU
- 1 letter of recommendation
- Level 2 background screening through the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
