Job Summary
Perform personal care activities assisting patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, ambulation, transfers, dressing, shaving, meal preparation, and accompanying patients on errands or medical appointments. Execute housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, dishwashing, linens, and bathroom cleaning. Provide patient-specific supportive care including medication reminders, exercise assistance, incontinence care, and use of lifting equipment like gait belts and Hoyer lifts. Maintain a Level 2 background screening through the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse and hold a valid CNA license or HHA Certificate with a Palm Beach County badge.
Required Qualifications
- CNA license or HHA Certificate (HHAs - Must have badge from Palm Beach County - no exceptions!)
- Valid Driver License or State Photo ID
- Second form of ID (SSN, Passport, Voter's Registration, etc.)
- Auto Insurance
- CPR Card (cannot be an online class)
- TB or Chest X-ray
- Level 2 Fingerprint Background check
- Alzheimer's, HIV, and Assisting with medications CEU
- 1 letter of recommendation
- Level 2 background screening through the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
