Job Summary
Conduct personal care activities assisting patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, ambulation, transfers, dressing, and meal preparation. Perform housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, mopping, dishwashing, and laundry. Provide patient-specific care including medication reminders, exercise assistance, incontinence care, and use of lifting equipment like gait belts and Hoyer lifts. Accompany patients on errands or medical appointments as needed. Maintain a valid driver license, auto insurance, and CPR certification while completing required background screening and training.
Required Qualifications
- CNA license or HHA Certificate (HHAs - Must have badge from Palm Beach County - no exceptions!)
- Valid Driver License or State Photo ID
- Second form of ID (SSN, Passport, Voter's Registration, etc.)
- Auto Insurance
- CPR Card (cannot be an online class)
- TB or Chest X-ray
- Level 2 Fingerprint Background check
- Alzheimer's, HIV, and Assisting with medications CEU
- 1 letter of recommendation
- Level 2 background screening through the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
