Job Summary
Oversee implementation of district EL curriculum and resources for English Learners; coordinate district models for teaching and learning of EL students; lead EL district initiatives and family literacy efforts; provide training and coaching to PreK-12 staff on evidence-based EL practices; manage selection and procurement of EL instructional materials; analyze scholar data (e.g., WIDA, NWEA, attendance) to inform action plans; collaborate with EL and Migrant staff and community agencies; coordinate parent meetings and Family Literacy initiatives; stay current on research-based practices impacting EL education; lead professional learning and contribute to district initiatives and planning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education
- Teacher certification with an ESL endorsement
- SIOP Instructional Model training
