Job Summary
Assess English Language Learner student abilities and provide academic intervention in 1:1 or group workshops as directed by classroom teachers and the academic intervention team. Educate the whole student academically, morally, and socially. Attend professional development and articulation meetings with teachers and parents as required. Assist in teaching reading, writing, and mathematics while navigating technical systems. Bilingual skills and experience with English as a second language students are preferred. Located in Commerce City, Colorado, Capstone Academy uses a character-based approach to help students apply critical-thinking skills to solve real-world problems and prepare for college and life.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet state requirements for being a Title 1 paraprofessional
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual skills, preferred
- Previous experience working with English as a second language students or with school-aged children, preferred
