Job Summary
Plan pull-out and push-in services, design student materials, and write accommodation plans while consulting classroom teachers on instructional strategies. Assess students, gather data to inform instruction, and maintain records to comply with legal and reporting requirements. Support teachers in developing curriculum and modifications for students. Requires Louisiana ESL certification, two years of teaching experience, and a background in language acquisition. Based in New Orleans, FirstLine Schools operates PreK-8th grade charter schools dedicated to open-admissions public education.
Required Qualifications
- Certified to teach ELL or eligible for Louisiana certification
- A BA or BS
- Minimum of two years of teaching experience
- A strong background in and command of language acquisition process
- Louisiana ESL certification or eligibility
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds of force as needed to move objects
