English Language Examiner & Coordinator (UPELT)

Job Summary
The English Language Examiner & Coordinator role supports the delivery, administration, assessment, and ongoing maintenance of the UPELT English Language Test for UPIC programmes. Responsibilities include conducting and rating speaking assessments, marking other test sections, coordinating test scheduling and invigilation, maintaining accurate assessment records, and contributing to test content and process improvements. The role also involves coordinating with internal teams and partner schools, supporting Duolingo interviews and pathway-related assessments, and managing offshore stakeholder communications. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in English, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or related field; experience in language assessment, online test delivery (Office 365 / digital platforms); familiarity with standardized testing rubrics; ability to mark multiple test sections; and strong communication and organizational skills. Teaching qualifications (TESOL, CELTA, Diploma in Education) are preferable, and the role is hybrid and part-time.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in English, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a related subject
- Experience in language assessment or speaking exams
- Experience in online test delivery through Office 365 applications and other digital platforms
- Understanding of standardised testing protocols and rubrics
- Flexibility to mark other test sections as required
- Experience in assessment coordination or working with partner schools and offshore stakeholders
- Teaching qualification (TESOL, CELTA, Diploma in Education, etc.) is preferable
