Job Summary
Supports lead teachers by delivering instruction, assisting with lesson activities, classroom management, and transitions; works one-on-one or in small groups with students to reinforce skills and support individualized learning plans; substitutes for lead teachers as needed; prepares instructional materials, sets up classroom resources, and assists with grading or documentation; collaborates with teachers and staff to meet academic and social-emotional needs; models professionalism and high expectations. Requires High School Diploma or Associate’s degree (or higher), successful paraprofessional exam, and ability to obtain Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Compensation starts at $15.50 to $18 per hour (DOE) with start date around 7/20/2026.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent OR Associate’s degree (or higher)
- Successful completion of the paraprofessional exam
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting
