Job Summary
Teach EN1210 – Literature in Historical Perspective in the Fall 2026 term using diverse instructional strategies to accommodate varied student learning styles. Deliver both on-campus, in-person sessions and online components while applying knowledge of current educational technologies. Demonstrate understanding of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's 94 Calls to Action. Submit a teaching philosophy statement alongside transcripts and proof of credential during the application process. This part-time sessional role begins September 1, 2026, within Northwestern Polytechnic's School of Applied Sciences and Technology.
Required Qualifications
- A PhD in English
- Evidence of successful instruction of undergraduate courses in English
- Candidates must be able to apply different instructional strategies to meet the needs of students with different learning styles
- The ability to teach both online and classroom-based courses
- Student-focused
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build strong relationships across the organization
- A high level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability
