Job Summary
Secondary Teacher (grades 6-12) is responsible for designing and delivering instruction in designated content areas aligned to state standards and district curriculum; creates a positive educational climate, delivers rigorous lessons, and utilizes diverse teaching practices to meet students' needs; monitors student progress and maintains grades/attendance; manages behavior with effective classroom strategies; communicates with parents and school staff to support student learning; protects health and safety of students and maintains confidential records; maintains required certifications and engages in professional development; Florida Professional Educator Certificate preferred with eligibility for Florida Temporary Certificate required.
