Job Summary
Fully remote English-Cantonese interpreter role for healthcare/medical interpretation. Responsibilities include answering calls professionally, adhering to interpreter code of conduct, handling industry-specific vocabulary, participating in internal professional training, and reporting to a team leader. Must maintain quiet, secure home workspace with reliable wired internet and a USB headset. Requires fluency in English and Cantonese, strong listening/retention and note-taking skills, and ability to convey concepts accurately following interpretation protocols. Onboarding to start immediately; monthly payments; location set for Singapore with remote work option.
Required Qualifications
- Fluency in English and Cantonese
- Minimum 1 year interpretation experience preferred
- Excellent listening, retention and note taking skills
- Render correct concepts and meanings according to established interpretation protocol
- Ability to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication
- 90% English proficiency
- Steady wired internet connection
- USB wired headset
- Windows 10 or Mac
