Job Summary
Oversee daily sorting and rework activities, ensuring smooth warehouse operations by completing sorts for responsible products and participating in QA meetings to track activity status. Monitor and update sorting logs while working with QA leads to assist with monthly cost summaries and retrieve the SEWS Canada QA budget. Manage reported abnormal conditions such as damaged shipments or accidents by coordinating with QA engineers, logistics, and 3PL teams to quarantine defective parts and prevent customer impact. Track suspect materials, design changes, and container delays to maintain smooth operations, and support prototype inspections to ensure parts meet drawing specifications. Assist with inventory control for quarantined materials, arrange shipments via UPS or FedEx, and apply appropriate safety protocols for temporary associates. Work overtime with short notice, stand for 8 to 10 hours daily, and operate pump jacks while maintaining a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Technical Certificate in engineering field
- 0-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in a quality assurance capacity
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Skilled in the use of desktop applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Skilled in the area of task management and organization
- Must be able to read WH drawings schematic
- Must be able to use measurement tools
- Must be able to record data
- Must be able to create go-no go gauges for QA inspection activity
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Must be able to stand and walk 8 to 10 hours per day
- Must be able to work overtime with short notice during week and possible weekends
- Must be able to operate pump jacks
- Must be able to support remotely to assist 3PL team during off hours not in warehouse related to quarantined parts by QA team to minimize operation impact
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision
