Job Summary
Perform daily building system maintenance checks, complete carpentry, plumbing, and minor electrical repairs, and troubleshoot pumps, motors, and control boards. Maintain all engineering safety inspections, ensure compliance with building codes, and monitor construction sites for environmental adherence. Operate emergency generators, maintain UST and day tanks, and execute internal moves and furniture set-up. Complete all assigned work orders within SOP guidelines, ensure CMMS entries are accurate, and report failed equipment immediately to the VP of Facilities. This role requires a licensed CFC with 4-5 years of experience, valid driver's license, and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and respond to emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED), technical school apprenticeship, trade school graduate or equivalent
- Licensed CFC
- 4-5 years' experience in general building maintenance
- Experience troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical and plumbing problems
- Experience in entry level maintenance, Plant Equipment and Operations and Controls, Basic, Blueprint Reading, CFC Seminars and Test, Basic Electricity, Schematics, Electrical Systems, Electric Motors Electrical Systems Code & Theory, and Basic Boiler Plant Operator
- Willingness to work off hours (evenings and weekends) and respond to emergencies as directed by the VP of Facilities
- Valid driver's license and/or access to reliable transportation to perform work-related travel
- Good motor vehicle record (MVR)
- Excellent verbal, written, multi-tasking and presentation skills
- Ability to replace pumps, motors and seals
- Basic training understanding of carpentry, plumbing, HVAC
- Working knowledge of piping systems
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to respond to service tickets
- Ability to clean cooling towers
- Ability to conduct bathroom inspection
- Ability to change filters
- Ability to maintain mechanical rooms in a clean, operational state
- Ability to use computers
- Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions
- Independent judgment or initiative
