Job Summary
Engineering Technician to support reliability, performance, and verification testing for regulated medical device products in a GMP environment. Responsibilities include performing laboratory testing, reliability and lifecycle testing, verification and validation testing, flow-accuracy and functional performance testing, setting up and maintaining lab equipment, documenting procedures and results in ELNs compliant with GMP, analyzing data, troubleshooting failures, and supporting continuous improvement of test methods and processes. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, GMP-regulated experience with strong documentation, ELN proficiency, hands-on testing experience, familiarity with medical device regs (ISO 13485, FDA), and strong analytical skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- Relevant engineering technician, laboratory, or testing experience preferred
- Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment with strong attention to documentation and data integrity
- Proficiency in using electronic lab notebooks (ELNs) and structured test documentation practices
- Hands-on experience with functional, performance, reliability, or verification testing
- Experience with flow-accuracy testing, fluid systems, or pump-based technologies is highly preferred
- Familiarity with reliability testing methodologies and long-duration or stress testing
- Ability to read and interpret test protocols, procedures, and technical documentation
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Experience in collecting, analyzing, and reporting test data
- Familiarity with medical device regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA) is a plus
- Experience with test automation, data logging, or analysis software is beneficial
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced laboratory environment
