Job Summary
Engineering Technician position involves the assembly, integration, and testing of custom automation machinery, both new and rebuilt. Responsibilities include Machine Assembly from mechanical drawings and electrical schematics; Electrical Work installing and wiring control panels, sensors, motors; Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems installation and troubleshooting; Light Machining (drilling, tapping, grinding); Testing & Debugging with functional testing and issue identification; Documentation of builds and troubleshooting steps; Safety & Compliance with standards; Reading/interpreting technical drawings and schematics; Use of CAD tools (Solidworks or Draftsite); Familiarity with ERP/MES software; Collaboration with engineers and designers; Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and teamwork. It notes confinement to Marshfield, MO and in-person work with McWane as an employer and EEO considerations.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and mechanical/electrical schematics
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems (AC/DC, PLC wiring, sensors)
- Hands-on experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Basic machining skills using hand tools, drill presses, grinders, etc.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office and manufacturing software (ERP, MES)
- Familiar with Solidworks or Draftsite CAD software
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
