Job Summary
Engineering Technician role in a CNC machining facility focused on supporting daily manufacturing operations, addressing process issues, and assisting with new product launches. Responsibilities include providing technical support on the production floor, troubleshooting manufacturing process issues, assisting tool setters with dialing in machines after changes, completing tool life studies and sampling tooling, reading and interpreting part prints for rough castings and finished machined parts, supporting new tooling trials and improving tooling for machining processes, monitoring shop-floor practices, aiding in cell installation, assisting Manufacturing Engineers as needed, performing miscellaneous duties as requested by Management, and traveling to other plants as required. Required skills include CNC machine operation, tool setting, CNC tool height adjustments, strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, blueprint reading, attention to detail, ability to work both independently and in a team, and strong interpersonal skills for handling confidential situations. Education requirement is a High School Diploma or equivalent, with an Associate degree in a related field preferred. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but not required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a CNC machining environment
- Proficiency in CNC machine operations, tool setting and CNC tool height adjustments
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Blueprint reading skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
