Job Summary
Engineering Technician on the J.F. Taylor team supporting multiple project areas with duties including ensuring parts are procured/received, assemblies built, systems delivered on time, and providing logistics support to government projects. Responsibilities include managing incoming/outgoing shipments, order entry, transportation scheduling, tracking order status, resolving issues, maintaining documentation, producing Production/Logistics Fielding Plans, Procurement Lead Times, and Risk Management Plans in weekly status meetings, collaborating across teams to fulfill orders and ensure timely delivery, coordinating multi-step product lifecycle processes, resolving logistics and service problems, maintaining records of drawing status/history, developing and validating logistics/maintenance data reporting system documentation, identifying and remedying discrepant materials with corrective action planning, maintaining an active/closed-discrepant material database, maintaining configuration control of the product baseline, developing/maintaining receiving, shipping, discrepant, and build guide processes and documentation, assisting with procurement list development using Technical Data Packages, and taking ownership of the inventory database and receiving products.
