Job Summary
Operates and maintains Wastewater Treatment and Water Treatment Plants at Marion Correctional Institution, supervising and instructing inmates in an apprentice on-the-job training program to develop skills for operating water and sewer utilities; ensures compliance with DEP permits and regulations, conducts preventive maintenance, troubleshoots and repairs equipment (e.g., compressors, pumps, air blowers, chlorinators), performs water quality tests, maintains operational logs, and prepares progress reports for rehabilitation efforts.
Required Qualifications
- A Class C Water and/ or Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator License or higher
- A Valid Class E Driver’s License
- Background screening (Level 2)
- U.S. citizens or authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify)
