Job Summary
Provide technician support during test and demonstration planning, including resource identification, site setup, daily operation, and retrograde. Develop and test solutions for technical problems in research, development, manufacturing, inspection, and maintenance while assisting engineers in product inspection, testing, and data collection. Follow published user manuals and maintenance documentation, and support Engineering teams by reading, editing, and creating electrical drawings and system schematics. Set up and operate test equipment for power generation, distribution, and environmental control, and arrange material handling for equipment movement. Requires Secret Clearance and five years of full-time professional experience supporting DoD logistics or field support. Travel up to 20% based on customer needs.
Required Qualifications
- Secret Clearance
- Past performance in supporting DoD related logistics activities and/or field support
- Ability to work as a member of a team with the skills and personality to lead discussions that results in positive desired outcomes
- Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- High school diploma or passing score on the General Education Development (GED) exam AND five (5) years of full-time professional experience working as an Engineering Technician in providing technical support related to the design, development, production, or testing directly in support of the Department of Defense
- Four (4) years full-time hands-on experience in installation, troubleshooting, repairing, and/or testing of any major military system
- Relevant experience and years of service may be considered in lieu of required education
- Conducting basic networking and emplacement of military systems upon receiving proper training manuals
- Experience in developing and testing solutions to solve technical problems in research and development, manufacturing, inspection, and maintenance
- Experience in developing and testing solutions to solve technical problems in research and development, manufacturing, inspection, and maintenance
- Experience in assisting engineers in inspecting products, conducting tests, and collecting data
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with following published user manuals and maintenance documentation
- Experience reading, editing, and creating electrical drawings and system schematics
- Experience working at military facility locations or field bases
- Travel: Up to 20% based on customer needs
