Job Summary
Provide technician support during test and demonstration planning while developing and testing solutions for technical problems in research, manufacturing, inspection, and maintenance. Assist engineers by inspecting products, conducting tests, collecting data, and reading, editing, or creating electrical drawings and system schematics. Support engineering teams through resource identification, planning, delivery, site setup, daily operations, and retrograde for test events. Arrange material handling equipment for off-loading, loading, and movement of test and training equipment, and operate power generation, distribution, and environmental control systems. Maintain compliance with published user manuals and maintenance documentation. Requires Secret Clearance, five years of DoD engineering technician experience, and up to 20% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Secret Clearance
- Past performance in supporting DoD related logistics activities and/or field support
- Ability to work as a member of a team with the skills and personality to lead discussions that results in positive desired outcomes
- Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- High school diploma or passing score on the General Education Development (GED) exam AND five (5) years of full-time professional experience working as an Engineering Technician in providing technical support related to the design, development, production, or testing directly in support of the Department of Defense
- Four (4) years full-time hands-on experience in installation, troubleshooting, repairing, and/or testing of any major military system
- Relevant experience and years of service may be considered in lieu of required education
- Conducting basic networking and emplacement of military systems upon receiving proper training manuals
- Experience in developing and testing solutions to solve technical problems in research and development, manufacturing, inspection, and maintenance
- Assisting engineers in inspecting products, conducting tests, and collecting data
- Travel: Up to 20% based on customer needs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with following published user manuals and maintenance documentation
- Experience reading, editing, and creating electrical drawings and system schematics
- Experience working at military facility locations or field bases
