Job Summary
Conduct applied research, design, development, and testing of high voltage, high power products by independently working from electrical schematics, diagrams, and written descriptions. Assemble and test electrical and mechanical assemblies while troubleshooting moderate to complex circuitry issues down to the component level. Assist development engineers in diagnosing design and field performance problems, implementing corrective actions to improve reliability and test yields. Maintain fixturing, perform calibration, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance to support engineering efforts in meeting cost, quality, and schedule goals. Collaborate with design staff on product design teams to drive designs that meet specifications and support design for manufacturability analysis. Onsite in Fort Collins, CO, within a noisy fast-paced lab or clean room environment with occasional travel. Requires 10 years of related technical experience and a high school degree.
Required Qualifications
- Electro-mechanical problem solving ability
- Able to operate a variety of electrical test instrumentation including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, volt meter
- Read and understand schematics, assembly documents and technical specifications
- Manual soldering skills including RoHS and fine pitch components
- Knowledge of digital, analog, and power circuits
- Computer knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel
- Minimum of 10 years of related technical/engineering experience
- Essential: High School Degree or equivalent
- Location: Onsite in Fort Collins, CO
- Occasional travel may be required to remote sites, customers and vendors
Desired Qualifications
- Computer knowledge of Altium, Solidworks
- Good verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
