Job Summary
Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate performance of generators, engines, or systems under simulated operating conditions, then analyze, interpret, document, and communicate results. Assist in developing new test setups and procedures while performing basic preventive maintenance and 5S of test cells and workstations. Manage lab space, tools, and components; contribute to continuous improvement by making product, system, and process recommendations. Demonstrate technical competency by participating in troubleshooting, determining root cause, and providing technical leadership with limited direction. This fully onsite role in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, supports new product development teams through test development and data analysis.
Required Qualifications
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
- 3-5 years' experience working in a test environment preferred
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude associated with engine or generator development
- Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred
- Ability to provide a strong individual contribution in the context of achieving team goals and deadlines
- Ability to provide technical leadership by assisting others in troubleshooting, answering questions, and determining root cause
- Demonstrated ability to work well with limited direction and information
- Ability to work independently, prioritize work and make decisions
- Fabrication experience and use of hand tools helpful
- Strong attention to detail, highly organized, customer focused, driven to improve and grow
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with hardware and software programming a plus
