Job Summary
Engineering Technician III to support highway construction and improvement projects, with daily oversight of field crews and contractors; responsibilities include conducting construction inspections, designing and drafting highway construction plans, performing topographical and construction surveys, testing materials used in highway and bridge construction, and overseeing roadway development to ensure quality and safety standards; preferred skills include CAD/drafting, surveying, material testing, and knowledge of design standards for construction, survey, and inspection of county roads and bridges; on-site, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule at Anoka County Highway Building in Andover, MN.
Required Qualifications
- Accreditation from a technical school or applicable trades program
- At least 4 years (2,080 annual hours) of job-related experience
- Successful pass of driver’s license background check
- Pre-employment background check (as applicable)
- DOT physical and/or other qualifications checks may be necessary
