Job Summary
Set up, test, and analyze test results of motors and systems to Agency specifications while assisting with updating and fabricating automated test equipment in an ISO 17025 Accredited Test Lab. Perform automated and manual tests on electric motors to determine proper design and function, including preparing and attaching thermocouple wire to measure temperature. Assist with lab maintenance by calibrating test equipment, organizing stations to 6S standards, and handling motors up to 50 pounds. Requires an Associate's degree in Engineering or two years of related experience with electrical mechanical devices, strong hands-on skills such as soldering, and proficiency with electronic test equipment like multimeters and oscilloscopes. Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Engineering, completed or in process
- 2 years related experience with electrical mechanical devices
- Ability to make spreadsheets and graphs
- Familiarity and ability to effectively use electronic test equipment – multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
- Good hands-on skills such as soldering and mechanical assembly
- Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams
- Good communication skills. (written and verbal)
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift motors (up to 50 pounds)
