Job Summary
Provide assistance in projects to improve operational efficiency, reduce scrap, and eliminate waste while ensuring seamless machinery operation. Conduct root cause investigations, implement corrective actions, and perform scheduled preventative maintenance on processing equipment. Drive productivity by identifying opportunities to enhance safety, quality, and yield, including assisting in Design of Experiment trials and new product scale-ups. Deliver comprehensive process training to Operators and update Work Instructions and Response Flow Checklists. Interpret Statistical Process Control charts and maintain inventories of spare parts. This role supports APS Liquid Filtration assembly processes with a Monday-Friday schedule and requires 3+ years of experience in mechanical manufacturing equipment maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in operating/maintaining mechanical manufacturing equipment
- HS Diploma
- Proficiency in equipment maintenance/repair
- Basic understanding of motors, pneumatics, and production machines
- Ability to interpret Statistical Process Control charts at a basic level
- Strong knowledge of safe work practices
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Flexibility in schedule to meet manufacturing/development needs
- "on-call" availability
- Occasional travel within the US
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree
- Experience with statistical analysis tools such as Minitab
- Knowledge of Six Sigma
- Knowledge of Lean methodologies
- Familiarity with equipment utilizing computerized user interfaces
- Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software
- Experience in plastics processing
- Experience in machining
- Experience in roll lamination
