Job Summary
Engineering Technician I will support USC Foundation's laboratory research by setting up assemblies and installing equipment and measurement systems for backflow prevention and hydraulic equipment. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining instrumentation, demonstrating equipment use to students and visitors, supervising student workers, recording test data, preparing charts/reports, assisting with calibration/audits, and coordinating with manufacturers on project status. The position is on-site at the USC Foundation Laboratory in Los Angeles, CA, with responsibility for daily equipment and system needs under Laboratory Management guidance. The role emphasizes laboratory evaluation, data analysis, and hands-on technical support in a fast-paced research environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Experience: 3 years
- Experience as a technician in a related field with knowledge and skill in use of applicable equipment, instruments, tools and safety procedures
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
