Job Summary
Perform installation, removal, and upgrades for electrical, electronic, and C4I tasks including wiring terminal boxes, testing connections, and troubleshooting. Fabricate connectors via soldering or crimping for navigation, communication, and power equipment while reading installation drawings and cable run sheets. Operate tools to aid in fabricating, installing, and upgrading systems, and conduct tests to evaluate performance and record data. Work under supervision on cableways, confined spaces, and fire watch duties as needed. Requires a US Coast Guard or Navy C4I system installation experience, a high school diploma, and a SECRET clearance. Travel 60% to 75% annually.
Required Qualifications
- US citizen
- SECRET clearance or ability to obtain/maintain a SECRET clearance
- High School diploma
- 1 years' experience in US Coast Guard or US Navy C4I system installation integration support
- US Coast Guard prefered or US Coast Guard or Navy 'C' or 'A' school
- Must be highly organized
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to Travel between 60% and 75% annually
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Acceptable reference and background check results
- DoD Secret or higher security clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Desired Qualifications
- NavSea Cableway and/or connector certification
- Experience with Cable Fabrication (Multi-pin, RF, Network, Power, Fiber, Mil-spec, or serial cable assemblies)
- Proficiency in operation of warehouse equipment to include pallet jacks and forklifts
