Job Summary
Engineering Technician I performing field inspection and sampling of concrete, aggregates, and soils for foundations and access roads on wind and solar projects to ensure compliance with plans and specifications. Primarily performing quality assurance tasks during construction of renewable energy projects across the United States. Responsibilities include calculations, data reduction of test results, and documenting field activities. Extensive travel (95–100%) nationwide; lodging/meals provided. May require extended/irregular hours to meet client needs. Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to remote construction sites; ability to operate in outdoor environments and lift heavy equipment. Opportunity to acquire ACI/ICC/WACEL or relevant certifications within 6 months of hire; strong written and verbal communication skills required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Willingness to travel to construction sites across the United States
- Ability to perform field testing of concrete, aggregates, and soils in outdoor environments
- Ability to read maps and interpret engineering/construction plans
- Ability to communicate effectively with project teams and clients
- Ability to acquire ACI/ICC/WACEL or relevant certifications within 6 months of hire
