Job Summary
The Engineering Technician I will work closely with Manufacturing Engineers to improve product flow and throughput while developing product structures/methods adhering to standards and specifications. Responsibilities include providing technical support, assisting in the design and development of manufacturing processes, creating manufacturing routings in the ERP system, and coordinating product/process analysis for cost reduction and quality improvement. Candidates should have strong analytical skills, technical proficiency in manufacturing methods, and experience with engineering applications. This position requires a Bachelor's Degree and at least 5 years of technical education and experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year certificate from college or technical school (preferred)
- A minimum of 5 years equivalent combination of technical education and experience in a manufacturing environment
- Advanced knowledge of machinery and procedures
- Working knowledge of relevant engineering applications
- Proficiency in computer skills necessary for the job function
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Computer Assisted Design (CAD)
