Job Summary
Engineering Technicians assist engineers in specific testing for product and process characterization, continuous product and process improvements, equipment installations, and the implementation of quality systems. Responsibilities include maintaining documentation for products, processes and quality systems; performing equipment setup, maintenance, and cleaning; assisting with training on products, processes, and quality procedures; collaborating with engineering and production teams on new product development; assembling, operating, and maintaining equipment; preparing samples; collecting data from experimental testing; and mentoring lower-level technicians. The role encompasses conducting testing and analysis of materials, operating and maintaining laboratory and production equipment, troubleshooting issues, coordinating with engineers on projects, synthesizing and packaging products for characterization, documenting procedures, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Educational paths accepted include high school diploma or equivalent with significant experience, or Associate’s degree with related experience, or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. The position is located in Rolla, Missouri, and requires in-person work.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and 6+ years related technician experience OR Associate’s degree in a relevant technical field and 2+ years of related chemical and/or device processing experience OR Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field and related experience OR An equivalent combination of education and experience.
