Job Summary
Assist with setup, operation, and maintenance of testing equipment and laboratory systems. Support assembly of HVAC components, prototypes, and test fixtures according to established procedures. Record test data accurately and maintain technical documentation while performing routine measurements and inspections. Gather data to support troubleshooting efforts and assist engineering staff with product testing and validation activities. Follow safety requirements and quality standards during all tasks, maintaining work areas and tools in an organized manner. This role may include prototype builds, inventory management of lab supplies, and participation in technical training. Work primarily in laboratory and manufacturing environments with exposure to production equipment and industrial conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Technical coursework, certification, or training in HVAC, electronics, manufacturing technology, mechanical systems, or a related field
- 0+ years of experience in a technical, manufacturing, or engineering support role
- Equivalent combination of education and experience providing an equivalent background
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
- Ability to follow written procedures, work instructions, and verbal directions
- Familiarity with hand tools, measurement devices, and basic testing equipment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic computer skills and ability to maintain accurate records
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to learn new technologies, processes, and equipment
- Ability to follow technical instructions and perform routine tasks accurately
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to identify and communicate basic issues or discrepancies
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Manual dexterity for handling tools, equipment, and small components
- Visual acuity for inspecting parts, assemblies, and test results
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to work safely around machinery, equipment, and testing systems
- Adherence to all safety protocols to ensure a safe and secure work environment
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
Desired Qualifications
- Technical or vocational education in a related field
- Exposure to HVAC systems, manufacturing operations, or engineering laboratories
