Job Summary

Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on plant equipment and machinery, including troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns and repairing worn parts. Operate machine shop equipment and hand tools to make required parts while maintaining work area cleanliness. Respond to equipment stoppages and correct failures using strong electrical and mechanical skills. Complete preventative maintenance tasks and adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Rotate job assignments throughout engineering and production as needed. Submit SAP data input and reporting as instructed.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • No less than a 9/12 month vocational/technical certification courses
  • Equivalent military training, other related technical training, or two or more years of college education
  • Possession of or capability to acquire licenses required by city or state to work with boilers, refrigeration and various other job related equipment
  • Proficiency in the use of SAP including data input, data retrieval, reporting, and other functions as instructed
  • Demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect affect on product safety, legality and/or quality
  • One or more years experience as a Technician and/or formal training or experience
  • Experience in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning
  • Experience in welding
  • Experience in electronics
  • Experience in electrical repairs
  • Experience in industrial equipment installations
  • Experience in alignment
  • Experience in start-up repairs
  • Training in and proficiency in all required skillsets on current level and level(s) below, if applicable
  • Flexibility and adaptability to rotate job assignments throughout engineering and production
  • Aptitude and desire for continued training because of on-going technological improvements
  • Ability to contribute to the maintenance of a safe work environment for themselves and their fellow technicians
  • Possession of strong electrical and mechanical skills
  • Ability to perform assigned preventative maintenance tasks
  • Ability to perform scheduled maintenance on plant equipment and machinery
  • Ability to respond to and correct equipment stoppage/mechanical breakdown
  • Ability to troubleshoot (when necessary)
  • Ability to repair/replace worn/defective parts, motors, control devices, etc.
  • Ability to operate machine shop equipment, hand tools, power hand tools, and make required parts when necessary
  • Ability to practice and comply with all Company policies and procedures including safety and work rules, etc.
  • Ability to practice and comply with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)
  • Ability to fulfill work schedules, adhere to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures

Desired Qualifications

  • Completion of AIB maintenance engineering course
