Job Summary
Engineering Technician to provide technician support to the Navy client; repair and troubleshoot hardware, software, fiber-optics, and mechanical equipment from multiple vendors both on shore and aboard ships. Use common hand tools to assemble and troubleshoot parts in an operational environment, and ensure work adheres to safety, security, and quality standards. Responsibilities include operating a forklift and crane, performing soldering, and conducting maintenance as needed. Requirements include 4+ years in a related environment, ability to travel, HS diploma/ GED, and multiple certifications to be obtained within specified timelines. Desirable experience includes Navy/DoD programs and additional certifications listed in the Nice If You Have section.
Required Qualifications
- HS diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Ability to obtain CPR/AED Certification within 90 days
- Ability to obtain J-STD-001 Soldering Certification within 180 days
- Ability to obtain 6K Forklift License within 180 days
- Ability to obtain Category 3 Crane Qualification Certification within 180 days
- 4+ years of experience in an engineering, mechanical, or production environment
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to support fleet operations
- Experience with common hand tools
- Ability to obtain required certifications as part of the role
