Engineering Technician

Job Summary
Conduct complex engineering tests, checkouts, and development tasks while analyzing results to resolve design problems. Review blueprints and specifications to ascertain test objectives, then fabricate, assemble, and modify mechanical components for industrial equipment and machinery. Set up and operate complete units under conditions to investigate design issues or gather data for quality control, recording all numerical and graphical results. Assist engineers in developing hardware and software for customer products, organize documentation including schematics, and train operators on processes and equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree, military training, equivalent vocational training, or equivalent experience
- 2 years of related experience
- Awareness of Flex technologies/techniques
- Basic functional and/or process knowledge
- Basic competency related to function
- Technical skills
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and customers
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions
- Technical high school degree
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
