Job Summary
Engineering Technician responsible for repairs, adjustments and modifications of control systems to meet production needs; provides daily production support, troubleshooting, and repairs of existing process control systems (servers, PCs, controllers, network, and code); ensures automation functionality and batch recipes support routine campaigns and equipment changes; implements and maintains process safety and computer system validation; leads automation design, development, and implementation for capital projects and process changes; supports automation and batch recipe modifications for new products; strives to improve control system performance and manufacturing capability through independent analysis and cross-functional collaboration; Evonik emphasizes hybrid and flexible working environments.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in engineering or computer related field or 10 years pharma experience with experience in process controls.
- Experience with Emerson DeltaV preferred.
- Experience with computer systems, data network, DCS, or PLC a benefit.
- Operational experience within bulk manufacturing, preferred at least 3 years.
- Ability to lead automation system design and support.
- Demonstrate computer system validation skills.
