Job Summary
Engineering Technician provides customer technical support for MPC wood truss designs and truss repairs created in Simpson Strong-Tie Integrated Component Systems software for CM customers. Responsible for reviewing truss design drawings for engineering issues, coordinating design changes, coordinating information gathering for truss repair details, supporting sealing engineers by reviewing designs and coordinating engineering service with branches and customers, and developing workflow documentation in Confluence and JIRA to support the Component Review and Truss Engineering Software teams. Requires ability to communicate with customers via phone/email, work with remote teams, and adapt to various software platforms; travel up to 10% domestically. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field (EIT preferred) and 1-4 years of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction related field preferred
- Qualified EIT applicants preferred
- 1 - 4 years related experience and/or training in MPC wood truss design and engineering
