Job Summary
Engineering Technician D – Palm Bay, FL. Full-time role requiring active TS/SCI clearance. Responsible for fabrication, assembly, integration, and testing of photonic components into larger system assemblies. Must read and interpret engineering drawings and follow detailed procedures; experience with machining equipment (lathes, mills, CNC) and lab/manufacturing environments. Training provided for photonics-specific skills (fiber optics handling, optical alignment, specialized testing). Essential tasks include fabrication, assembly, integration, test, inspection; experience with precision parts and wiring diagrams; calibration and maintenance activities; and adherence to process documentation and cleanliness standards. Polygraph examination required due to program clearance requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent and minimum 6 years relevant experience OR 2 years post-secondary/Associates Degree with at least 2 years related experience
