Engineering Technician - Adv Tech

Job Summary
Assist engineers in developing and testing new products, components, and materials while improving existing ones, with a primary focus on dehumidification projects. Construct models and prototypes, prepare testing setups, build fixtures, and perform standard mechanical and electrical tests in the lab. Monitor test data, analyze results, and write detail-oriented technical test reports. Develop or recommend improved testing procedures and maintain all required paperwork, records, and samples. This first-shift role at the Sun Prairie Innovation Center operates 8-4pm with travel to other locations as needed, offering overtime opportunities and vehicle use.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Technical writing ability
- Mechanical aptitude
- desire to learn and perform mechanical tasks
- 1 year experience
- any previous technical experience
- Experience operating model shop equipment and hand tools
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- willingness to travel to other locations for testing as needed
- availability for first shift, 8-4pm schedule
Desired Qualifications
- Associates Degree
- Machining and Brazing experience
