Job Summary
Perform builds, teardowns, and provide written reports to support R&D testing efforts under engineering direction. Operate a shock dynamometer regularly to assist in builds and tuning, while collecting, recording, and summarizing data on all work. Lead valve code tuning efforts and lab testing as needed, and organize offsite field testing with the engineering team. Maintain shop organization and cleanliness while following current processes to drive efficiency improvements. Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to meet deadlines, interpreting engineering drawings and specifications using Microsoft Office. Requires 2+ years of automotive shock absorber prototyping experience, a high school diploma or AA degree in a technical discipline, and the ability to use lathes, mills, and saws.
Required Qualifications
- HS graduate or equivalent
- AA degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of automotive shock absorber prototyping or similar experience
- Lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
- Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to use lathe, mill, saws, etc.
- Ability to learn and understand data acquisition and data analysis
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Computer competency using Microsoft Office
- Shock dynamometer experience
