Job Summary

Engineering Technical Manager leads and mentors a team of Product Engineers and Designers to develop automotive interior trim solutions (instrument panels, center consoles, door panels, hard trim, and air registers) from concept through launch. The role emphasizes Lean Product Development and Set-Based Concurrent Engineering, driving technical excellence, cross-functional collaboration with Program Management, Advanced Manufacturing, and Plant Launch, and supporting sales/quoting activities. Key responsibilities include applying GD&T and injection molding expertise, ensuring timing, dimensional accuracy, product validation and PPAP, championing continuous improvement, and developing deep interior systems expertise with preferred door panel experience. Travel up to 25% is required.

Required Qualifications

  • B.S degree in engineering
  • 5 years of industrial project management (automotive related preferred) experience
  • 10 years of progressive technical experience leading to and including industrial project management
  • A minimum score of 50 on the Wonderlic Select Assessment
