Job Summary
Engineering Technician position at Standard Motor Products in Independence, KS. Responsible for troubleshooting and PLC programming electronics, maintaining and repairing production equipment and test systems, and applying knowledge of pneumatics controls. Degree in an electronic field and/or 3-5 years of relevant experience required. Skills include experience with basic electrical/electronic test equipment; familiarity with VB, Cadence, IA and Motorman robotics is a plus. Work hours are Monday–Thursday 6:00am–4:30pm with frequent Friday overtime and some Saturday overtime. Pay is hourly; applicant should submit resume with cover letter by June 15, 2026.
Required Qualifications
- degree in electronic field
- 3-5 years experience troubleshooting and PLC programming electronics
