Job Summary
Injection Molding Engineering Technician IV provides technical and process support for production lines, drives process improvements and quality initiatives, troubleshoots electro/mechanical and PLC systems on high-volume injection molding equipment, develops training and manuals, supports CAPAs/NCs, collaborates on improvements to throughput, cycle time, and yield, and ensures compliance with GMP/ISO standards while maintaining safety and environmental objectives. Requires strong electro/mechanical troubleshooting, PLC/servo systems, robotics familiarity, documentation, and cross-functional teamwork. Travel up to 10%.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years of college, trade, or military training in a technical field OR high school diploma or equivalent experience and equivalent industrial experience emphasizing electro-mechanical, PLC, and pneumatics
- A minimum of 6 years of relevant technical/vocational industry experience
- Maintenance or engineering experience with high-volume production line environment
- Working knowledge of process improvement, injection molding, robotics, PLC systems, electro/mechanical devices, servo systems, safety devices, equipment installation, debugging and qualification, control circuitry development, electro-mechanical troubleshooting/repair, equipment prototyping, production start-up, equipment process development
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in an empowered work team environment
- Ability to handle physical demands
