Job Summary

Perform engineering projects, guest calls, blitzes, and preventive maintenance as directed by resort management. Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance issues while repairing walls, ceilings, and flooring. Maintain pools, spas, and water features through chemical balancing and cleaning tasks. Participate in procurement and inventory processes, operate resort operations software, and safely use hand and power tools. Communicate professionally with guests and leadership to resolve needs and adhere to all safety guidelines and resort policies. Requires a high school diploma, 1–3 years of hands-on trade experience, a valid driver's license, and a CPO license. Must lift up to 50+ pounds and work under pressure. Join a team at Westgate Towers Resort in Kissimmee, Florida, supporting operations at 60+ resorts.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in trades and maintenance within a resort or commercial environment
  • Valid driver's license
  • CPO (Certified Pool Operator) license
  • Written and verbal communication in English
  • Ability to lift, move, push, or pull up to 50+ pounds
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to work with enthusiasm and focus
  • Ability to be versatile
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and resort leadership

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with plumbing issues, repairs, and fixture/piping replacement
  • Experience with minor electrical components such as receptacles and ballasts
  • Experience with appliances and household fixtures
  • Understanding of HVAC systems and basic preventive maintenance and diagnostics
  • Experience with interior and exterior walls, wall coverings, and ceilings including texturing, painting, and caulking
  • Experience with tiles, grout, vinyl, and carpet repair or replacement
  • Experience with pools, spas, and water features including chemical balancing and cleaning
  • Experience with procurement and inventory processes
  • Experience operating resort operations devices and software (HotSOS)
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and battery-powered tools
  • Experience working with ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and PPE
  • Experience recognizing and identifying potential safety hazards
  • Experience communicating and interpreting guest needs through positive interactions toward resolution
  • Experience performing maintenance and cleaning tasks
