Job Summary
Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment and buildings, troubleshooting HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire alarm systems. Respond to immediate facility calls for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration issues while installing and repairing electrical machinery, wiring, and lighting. Perform daily rounds of building equipment to report complications, coordinate system shutdowns for utilities and medical gases, and maintain central clock and nurse call systems. Ensure work areas remain clean and orderly while adhering to national and local electrical codes. Assist with inclement weather conditions and fire alarm testing as needed. Maintain schedule flexibility for shift coverage and on-call rotation. Requires valid Tennessee driver's license, high school diploma, and five years of facility maintenance experience.
Required Qualifications
- Valid TN Driver License
- 5 years experience in facility maintenance
- Technical training
- Proficiency in 2 or more of the following: HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, electronics, fire alarm systems, pneumatic tube system, BAS, controls
- Must maintain schedule flexibility, assisting in coverage of other shifts when needed
- Will be required to cover on-call in the technician rotation and respond when necessary
- Light lifting, pushing and pulling is required for 10-20 lbs occasionally
- Frequent moving of objects of less than 10 lbs is required
- Frequent sitting with some walking, standing, squatting, bending and reaching is required
- Keyboard/computer use and/or repetitive motions may be required
