Job Summary
Engineering Technician I at Sea Village Resort. Responsibilities include handling a variety of maintenance tasks and projects, guest calls, and preventive maintenance; performing general repairs such as painting, caulking, and wall touch-ups; troubleshooting plumbing issues (drains, toilets, showers, faucets, sinks); replacing light bulbs and maintaining lighting systems; installing and troubleshooting TVs and remote programming; diagnosing appliances and replacing parts as needed; supporting inventory and procurement to ensure tools and materials are on hand; using resort systems to track and complete tasks, and communicating professionally with guests and team members. Maintain safety by using proper PPE and following standards; perform hands-on maintenance and cleaning as directed; operate hand and power tools, lifts, scaffolding; deliver outstanding guest service by listening and resolving maintenance concerns promptly; represent VI Resorts by Westgate with professionalism; take on additional tasks as needed to support resort operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 0–1 year hands-on experience in trades or maintenance
- Valid driver’s license
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
