Job Summary
Build, integrate, test, troubleshoot, and maintain communications hardware in laboratory environments ranging from single racks to ten-plus racks. Work from schematics and engineering drawings to support prototype builds, fabrication, and post-delivery support while performing routine operational and environmental tests. Isolate faults to the component level using diagnostic equipment and produce engineering documentation including flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics. Requires Top Secret clearance, SAP clearance, and experience with custom harness assemblies and industry-standard connectors. Located in Palmdale, CA, with 10% travel time.
Required Qualifications
- Active US Government Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
- High School Diploma
- 2 years of related professional/military experience
- 4 years of related professional/military experience
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings in accordance with ASME and IEEE standards
- Working experience building and installing custom harness assemblies in accordance with industry standards
- Working experience with industry standards for connectors including, but not limited to D38999, Dsub, twinax, RJ45, etc.
- Color vision to identify cables and wires
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Aptitude to learn new material quickly
- U.S. Citizenship
