Job Summary
Lead and develop a team of engineers responsible for the Enterprise Developer Experience and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) platform. Provide technical leadership, strategic direction, and execution oversight for services enabling software development across the enterprise, including source code management, CI/CD, software quality, and supply chain security. Establish team priorities, performance expectations, and succession planning while driving adoption of enterprise standards for source control, testing automation, and release management. Oversee platform engineering activities to improve developer productivity and ensure operational excellence through incident response and root cause analysis. Manage vendor relationships and technology evaluations while partnering with Architecture, Cybersecurity, and Infrastructure teams to deliver a modern, secure delivery ecosystem.
Required Qualifications
- A combined minimum of 9 years' higher education and/or work experience
- A minimum of 4 years' engineering and/or architecture experience
- 3 years leadership experience
- Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams responsible for enterprise platforms, DevOps, platform engineering, developer experience, or software development tooling
- Experience managing complex technology initiatives and cross-functional engineering programs
- Experience providing technical leadership for large-scale developer platforms and software delivery ecosystems
- Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite
- Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to senior management
- Maintain internal control standards, including timely implementation of audit findings, regulatory requirements, and risk remediation activities
Desired Qualifications
- Experience leading Enterprise Developer Experience, DevOps, Platform Engineering, Internal Developer Platform (IDP), or SDLC tooling organizations
- Strong knowledge of GitLab SCM, GitLab CI/CD, GitLab Duo, SonarQube, JFrog Artifactory, Mend, and related enterprise engineering platforms
- Experience supporting large-scale software development organizations and enterprise engineering transformations
- Knowledge of platform engineering, DevSecOps, cloud engineering, software supply chain security, and AI-assisted software development practices
- Experience establishing engineering productivity metrics, DORA metrics, service-level objectives, and developer experience measurements
- Strong organizational, leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills
- Experience presenting strategy, roadmaps, delivery updates, and investment recommendations to senior technology leadership
- Proven ability to build and retain high-performing engineering teams while driving cultural and technical transformation
